In
it's June 25, 2010 editions, the Capital District Business Review
ranked Scotia-Glenville as the 19th top district out of 85 local school
districts. Last year, S-G ranked 15th in the annual Business
Review ranking.
The results
are based on grade 4 English Language Arts and mathematics standardized
tests, grade 8 English Language Arts and mathematics standardized tests
and high school Regents exams in English and mathematics.

Scotia-Glenville was named as a "high performing/gap closing school
district" by the state Education Deparment in June 2007. Locally,
only the Niskayuna, Schalmont and Cohoes school districts received the
same recognition.
The recognition means that Scotia-Glenville met all applicable state standards
on English language arts and mathematics standardized tests in 2004-2005
and made Adequate Yearly Progress in both 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 on all
applicable English language arts, mathematics, science and graduation
rate criteria.
In addition, the district had at least 30 continuously enrolled students
in at least two racial ethnic groups or at least one racial ethnic group
and one of the following groups of students: low-income students, students
with disabilities, or limited English proficient students.
