Scotia-Glenville
students to hold free concerts in December
The Scotia-Glenville School
District will hold five free holiday student concerts during December
- Wednesday, December
5: Lincoln's kindergarten, first and second graders under the
direction of Janice Rice will perform at 7 p.m. at the Middle School.
- Tuesday, December
11: Glendaal’s K-3 program under the direction of Susan
Weisman will be held at the High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
- Thursday, December
13: Lincoln’s grades 3-5 concert under the direction
of Janice Rice will be held at the High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
The grade 5 band will be under the direction of Chad Ploss and the grade
5 string students will be under the direction of Lorelei Heidenstrom.
- Monday, December
17: Glen-Worden K-5 program under the direction of Peter Rizzo
and instrumental band students under the direction of Chad Ploss will
be held at the High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, December
19: Several High School groups will perform that evening. The
Concert and Symphonic Bands, under the direction of Allison Atchley;
Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Cheryl Ferraro;
and Choralaires and Concert Choir, under the direction of Jessica Crisci,
will perform at the High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
The Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Concert Choir and Choralaires will perform
a “Christmas Finale” together.
Friends of Music will also have a dessert sale during the concert.
